Cedar Cross Overhead Door Commercial
I made my first television debut as a young kid in the commercial for Cedar Cross Overhead Door as seen above at timestamp 0:19-0:20 (the kid in the red shirt). Never in my life did I expect to have to stick a sticky note to my head about 10 times in a row to get the best shot, especially when it got stuck to my hair. It opened my eyes to the reality that I did not want to be an actor since I don’t like doing things twice, but I loved the process of putting together a professional video. This is one hobby that I highlight further on this page and I have slowly increased my abilities over the years.
Castle Rock Lake Wisconsin
During a family vacation to Castle Rock Lake in 2017 with our friends the Currys and the Reegs, I began the conquest to document the trip. With the ability to take little videos here and there with both my Go Pro and my phone, it is flabbergasting what can happen when a plan comes together. With limited camera quality, it can be hard to make a great video, but it was a learning experience nonetheless. The chance to film underwater was another first-time opportunity, and the water clarity and action from the fish was a memory I will not soon forget!
Summer Day at the Cabin
While using my Go Pro as practice to compile independent experiences into a fluid film, I took some fun days with friends as a chance to build on my capturing skills and test my photographer abilities. While I have a long way to go and I am limited by my camera quality, it is a process that I have enjoyed teaching myself. While each video I have created takes a significant amount of time and has ample room for improvement, I find in my life a critical importance of living in the moment and leaving the camera behind when there are several moments in life a camera cannot capture properly or do justice without a physical presence.

Building a Jeep from Factory Parts
As a project for my senior year of high school, my dad, my brother, and I went through the process of building a jeep from stock. Throughout this process, I learned about the buying process of a vehicle, from bartering to what to look for in a car. Once we had it purchased, I learned to drive a manual transmission as I drove home from Wisconsin where we had made the purchase. We ordered a new lift kit, new tires, new bumpers, new d-rings, and a new tire cover. Once the parts arrived, I got a chance to learn how to work on the frame of a car, removing the old parts and replacing them with new parts. We were able to finish it after many weekends working on it over the winter, but as anyone who owns a jeep knows, they are never truly finished.
